The First Festival will take place from 4th - 5th August and aims to offer signed bands, as well as up-and-coming unsigned bands from the UK.

Saturday's theme will be Alternative/Pop/Punk. Bands include The Wombats, Noisettes and Fortune Drive. Saturday's Welsh flavour is to be provided by S.K.W.A.D, Freak Unique, Void and Back Alley Sally and there are many more acts to be announced.

Sunday has a Rock/Metal edge to it with Breed 77, Die Happy, I-def-I & Forever Never playing. Welsh bands on Sunday include Circle of One, Kardomah & Losing Sun with many more acts to be announced.

It is hoped that this will become an annual event to showcase even more local talent in the future. Local charities are also set to benefit as donations to several charities are planned. The license for the festival is still awaiting approval from the council.

The festival site is situated on local farm land in Wick, along the Heritage coast of Wales, near the historic town of Llantwit Major, and with spectacular panoramic views.

The site will have provision for camping for weekend ticket holders, as well as car parking and all the facilities that you would expect at a festival.

In addition to music there will be other entertainment over the weekend, provided by Professor Panic’s Circus and the historical re-enactment group, Knights of Longshank plus much more besides.

More information can be found on their official website.
