Celebrating the wealth of resident Hackney talent, this festival features a variety of music genres (classical, jazz, and rock), theatre, comedy and visual arts at various venues across the borough.
The Big Day Out - Sunday, 17th July: This free event will take place in the Town Hall Square and includes a huge talent show with over 100 competing artists with the winners performing at the Hackney Empire that night. There are also children' activities, a Talented Dog Show, a food and spice market, tea and cakes, kite-making, martial arts, street performers and buskers, beer and samba bands.
