With all profits going to Free Tibet, this one-off festival features ten bands, ten DJs and a whole ten hours of music from 3pm until the wee small 1am. The line-up includes Gordon McIntyre (Ballboy), Aberfeldy, King Creosote, Alleschwindel and The Thanes. There’s also a chance to catch a bunch of Scotland’s top DJs: Smokey and the Bandit, Brett King and Gav Grant.

As well as raising awareness of good music, the day, organised by the Free Tibet Campaign Edinburgh, is also about the Campaign’s opposition to the Chinese People’s Liberation Army band appearing at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. The Free Tibet Campaign is against the Chinese occupation of Tibet and stands for Tibetans’ fundamental human rights to be respected.
