OnBlackheath takes place on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September 2016 on the green space of London's Blackheath Common.

Primal Scream, Belle & Sebastian, James, Roisin Murphy, Hot Chip, Squeeze, Lonelady, Soak, St Etienne, Edwyn Collins, Craig Charles, Night Beats, Rosie Lowe, M.Craft, Amber Arcades, Heavenly Jukebox (DJ set), Neneh Cherry (DJ set), Jazzie B, Don Letts, Thundercat, Connan Mockasin, Laura Groves, A.R. Kane, Duval Timothy, Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Choir, Alexander Nut, Bullion, Japan Blues, Music To Ease Your Disease, and more to be announced.

Heavenly Records DJs will be back to curate the second stage and NTS Radio will curate the other day.

Early bird tickets have sold out, and once again there will be free admission to OnBlackheath for all children aged 12 and under.

An adult weekend ticket is priced at £99
An adult Saturday day ticket is priced at £57.50
An adult Sunday day ticket is priced at £52.50
An U16 ticket (aged 13 - 16 years) weekend ticket is priced at £65.
An U16 ticket (aged 13 - 16 years) Saturday day ticket is priced at £35.

As well as the music line-up, OnBlackheath offers chefs who will not only be creating dishes with their preferred local produce on the Food Stage, but will also appear in the ‘Chef Club. During the chef’s hour takeover in the Club, guests will have the oppurtunity to enjoy two dishes and accompanying drink showcasing each chef’s style and ethos. Plus attractions including a silent disco, street &  fringe theatre, street food, Farmers Market, mixology demonstrations and drinks from local brewers.

Chefs appearing over the weekend will be   Ching He Huang, Cupcake Jemma, DJ BBQ, Hemsley & Hemsley, Jack Stein John Whaite, Jun Tanaka, Madeleine Shaw Mat Blak, Neil Rankin, Olia Hercules & Ping Coombes.

The chefs will not only be creating dishes with their preferred local produce on the Food Stage but guests will have the opportunity to sample two dishes and accompanying drink showcasing each chef’s style and ethos in separately ticketed Chef’s Club Food Banquet.

Kids - Puffin Books World of Stories

The festival will also offer interactive fun, games, workshops, entertainment and activities for kids (and adults) of all ages at the festival. For the younger members, OnBlackheath welcomes the Puffin Books World of Stories – a new experience which will bring to life the magical worlds of some of the most beloved children’s authors, along with adventure areas, interactive workshops and a children's maze.

The world Puffin has created will include a Magical Storytelling Stage, a Talking Maze, a Village Green Sports Day, and a plethora of workshops, exciting activities and kids’ crafting. Children will see live storytellings and shows including: CBeebies favourites Hey Duggee and The Clangers; The Dinosaur that Pooped with a guest appearance from the dinosaur himself; and The Magical World of Beatrix Potter and her Tale of Peter Rabbit. The Flying Seagulls Project bring circus workshops with a literary twist, incorporating Jacqueline Wilson’s Hetty Feather. Further family fun includes balloon-sculpting skills classes, magic shows and dancing competitions.

For older children, join award-winning comedian David O’Doherty and illustrator Chris Judge for a lesson in Dangerology and learn how to prepare for many of life’s dangers – such as a shark in the loo or a volcano under your house. The Wimpy Kid Show, a must for Diary of a Wimpy Kid fans and great family entertainment, including a Wimpy Kid Draw-Along and Wimp Wars! Quiz. Where Bear author Sophy Henn is also set to bring her stories to Puffin World of Stories.

Families will be able to get their creative flare on in the Kids’ Crafting Tent, make a princess tutu or a Mad Hatter hat! Other activities on offer include face painting, an interactive colouring wall, hair chalks and Puffin T-shirt decorating.

The Village Green Sports Day will offer book-themed delights such as egg and spoon races, sack races, three-legged races and the playground favourite tug-of-war.

Children will also have the opportunity to meet characters including Spot the Dog, Peter Rabbit, The Clangers and favourites from the wonderful world of Roald Dahl.

OnBlackheath and Puffin Books are proud to be supporting the Ministry of Stories, a charity co-founded by Nick Hornby. Dedicated to championing the writer in every child, they build children’s confidence and communication skills by making writing fun and accessible.
