Normafest was started by Eliza Carthy to celebrate her mother and legendary English folk singer Norma Waterson, and which allows Norma to perform again after a prolonged battle with ill-health, as she's not able to travel.

It takes place at venues in Robin Hoods Bay & Whitby, North Yorkshire, from Friday 5th until Sunday 7th January 2018. The venues used are St Stephens Church, the Village Hall,, and Tea Toast & Post all in Robin Hood's Bay, and Whitby Pavilion, Whitby.

Friday nights events will all be in Robin Hoods Bay, Saturday’s events at Whitby Pavilion, & Sunday’s afternoon session at Robin Hoods Bay.

Line-up

Acts confirmed so far include Dervish, with Jackie Oates and Jack Rutter performing Lullabies, Lisa Knapp & Gerry Diver, Thomas McCarthy, The Gift Band Acoustic, Banter, and more.
