SevernFest 2004

Newtown is a small, friendly town in mid-Wales, situated by the picturesque River Severn. The Summer Festival is a community event held over 3 weekends with the first weekend, Severnfest, featuring music as it's theme with a Battle of the Bands, salsa night and folk sessions in local pubs, theatre from Theatre Hafren and dancing by moonlight in the ruins of St. Marys church.
If it's anything like last year, there will be also be a street parade, children’s entertainment, rides and craft workshops. A holistic therapy exhibition is already confirmed.

The second weekend, 11th and 13th June, is a Carnival Weekend and the third weekend, 19th-20th June is to be a Food Festival.
