The fifth Moseley Folk Festival takes place at Moseley Park, Moseley, Birmingham, across two stages, from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th September, opening from 11am until 10pm every day.

Line-up

The headliner is Donovan, supporting him on the Saturday main stage are The Low Anthem, Johnny Flynn, The High Llamas, Spider John Koerner, Alasdair Roberts and Lisa Knapp.

On the Sunday the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain headline. Supporting them on the main stage are The Unthanks, John Renbourn, Martin Simpson, The Destroyers, Urban Folk Quartet and Bella Hardy.

Friday has two headliners The Divine Comedy and The Turin Brakes. Support on the main stage comes from Fyfe Dangerfield, Beth Jeans Houghton, Erland and the Carnival and Sparrow and the Workshop.

The third stage (the Bohemian Jukebox Stage) will feature a huge variety of unsigned acts. Across the weekend everything from traditional to alt, post and anti folk will be touched on with bands coming from across the UK. These include:
Friday: Gurdan Thomas, Zoe Mulford, Tara Chinn, 99*Star, Beneath The Oak, Fox, Tom Martin, The Gardenelles, Charlie.
Saturday: Zapoppin', Perrot's Folly, Ben Calvert, Boat To Row, Workshop - Rapper Dancing with Ryknild Rabble, A Bull, Friends of The Stars, Rich McMahon, Z+, Workshop - Harmonica with Will Pound, Workshop - Clawhammer banjo with Dan Walsh
Sunday: Elfynn, James Summerfield, Richard Burke, Dust Motes, Workshop - Dancing with Cut A Shine, Loose Kites, Miranda Versus The Crok, Panda Su, Chase Mist, Workshop - Penny whistle with Belinda Hutchings, Workshop - Ukulele with the SCUPA

Tickets

A weekend adult ticket is priced at £77 or a kids (aged 12-16) weekend ticket is priced at £35, a family weekend (2 adults & 2 kids under 16) is priced at £160. A Friday day ticket is priced at £28 (kids £12), Saturday or Sunday is priced at £37 (kids £15).

The festival provides plenty of marquee cover, well-stocked real ale and scrumpy (cash) bars, plus fine food and refreshments, children's area with entertainment, hand powered fairground rides, face painting, music making workshops, and storytelling pirates, along with a new healing and workshop area nestling in the dell behind the fishermen's hut, more sessions and live music in and around the pubs of Moseley.

Folk artist, writer and musician Jeb Loy Nichols will be exhibiting a selection of his work based around the careers of folk legends like Nick Drake, Terry Callier and Richard Thompson (Jeb was invited to perform at Richard Thompson's Melt Down Festival).
