The family friendly Beacons Festival takes place over new dates this year from Friday 7th until Sunday 10th August 2014 at Funkirk Estate, Skipton, in North Yorkshire.

Early bird tickets have sold out. Weekend tickets are now priced at £99.50 + booking fee. Deposit tickets available for £25 up front cost. A young person (aged 13-17 years) ticket is priced at £75, a child (aged 7-12 years) ticket is priced at £15, and children under 7 years can attend free.

On site

The festival will also offer a cinema programme, children's entertainment, spoken word, theatre and more. The festival offers easy access by rail.

The kids area, the excellently titled Diddy Rascals area includes the Ladybird Project's kids tent, dozens of workshops, games and cabaret.

Organisers also promise a host of interactive light and sound installations, hand crafted structures, and flag installations that will be positioned throughout the site.

Creative activities will include everything from making your own musical instruments to screen-printing your own Beacons clothing, as well as talks and debates on subjects ranging from nuclear fission to DIY culture.

Times

Beacons Festival will open its campsites to visitors at 4pm on Thursday. All pitches are first come first served. The Campsites close at MIDDAY (12pm) on Monday. The Beacons Festival Arena will be open from 7pm on Thursday, with attractions, food and drink available until the early hours of the morning. The Beacons Festival line-up begins in force at midday (12pm) on Friday. Please note: The Beacons Festival arena, will close at MIDNIGHT on Sunday.
