Now in it's fifth year Live At Leeds takes place Friday 29th April until Sunday 1st May at various venues in Leeds.

Live at Leeds festival will see national names joining the hottest local talent performing at venues around the city centre in a unique celebration of the best in new music.

Line-up

The acts confirmed include Glasvegas, James Blake, Frightened Rabbit, The Futureheads, Dinosaur Pile-Up, The Twilight Sad, Villagers, Fight Like Apes, Pulled Apart by Horses, The Duke Spirit, Anna Calvi, Aloe Blacc and see's the return of Young Knives and The Whip. Plus Slow Club, Thecocknbullkid, The Chapman Family, Kassidy, Trophy Wife, Spark, Tribes, Fixers, Yaaks, Cloud Control, Swimming, Kong, Dutch Uncles, Cosmo Jarvis, Katzenjammer, Lanterns on the Lake, Mazes, Let's Wrestle, Morning Parade, Breton, and many more plus more artists and special guests to be announced over the next few weeks. Tickets

Saturday sees the multi-venue wristband event and the Sunday details are to be announced soon. Tickets are priced at £17.50 for the all day event on Saturday 30th April, starting at noon, and must must be exchanged for a festival wristband. The ticket holders must be present at the wristband exchange point. Wristbands allow entry to each of the participating venues, as individual venue capacities permit. To buy tickets, click here.

Villagers will open Live At Leeds on the Friday night with a special show at The Brudenell Social Club. Tickets are priced at £11 (separate tickets needed).

Glasvegas and guests play on Sunday appearing at Leeds Metropolitan University. Tickets are priced at £16 and can be purchased here.

Venues

In its fifth year, Live at Leeds has quickly become an institution in the Leeds calendar taking place in 11 venues. This year they welcome the O2 Academy to the vast array of venues including The Brudenell Social Club, The Cockpit, Leeds Metropolian University, Leeds University, Nation of Shopkeepers, Holy Trinty Church, The Well and The Faversham.

Unconference

The Unconference will happen on Friday 29th April which will feature guest speakers which is being organised in partnership with Leeds University and Leeds Metropolitan University. Panelists include Richard Formby, Ed Heato, Matt Peel, Marco Pasquariello, Rich Huxley, Tony Morley, Jay Ker, Al English, Ben Robinson, Ash Kollakowski, Neil Pengelly, Ollie Clueit, Simon Rix, Stuart Clarke, and Al English.Plus seminars form Simon Pursehouse, David and Simon of Iliketrains plus informal, drop-in advice and teaching from Leeds musicians, with sessions on guitar, drums, looping and general musical chat from Lins Wilson and Owen Brinley of Grammatics, Nestor Matthews of Sky Larkin and Jeff T. Smith (aka Juffage). Live performances from Loose Talk Costs Lives, Keys.To.Machinery, and Milk White White Teeth.
