Venues

Over 50 venues and dozens of local and out of town artists will be celebrating Lancaster's musical talent and diversity to provide a wide variety of music.

There are venues open at all times with at least one with a 24 hour licence. The festival caters for kids of all ages from 8 to 80. The venues are within easy walking distance of each other and are located mostly in the city centre. There are plenty of accommodation options, as well as many places to eat and drink in Lancaster, and the festival is very centrally located.

More info

Almost all the shows are free (there’s a nominal £1 entry into the Castle and one venue has tickets for some of the national acts but all under a tenner). The ales are not free but are super. For beer lovers there are two city breweries and countless local and regional tipples (Lancaster is officially the Northern City of Ale). A wide variety of excellent eateries from fast to leisurely cater for appetites worked up going from venue to venue, dancing or from general carousing.
