Galloway's celtic/roots/world music festivals have been running twice-yearly in the spectacular hills of Scotland's Southern Uplands since 1998 with the World Ceilidh germinating from the well known Ceilidh Gall Gallowa' Spring festival.

Some line-up details for the 2007 festival are now available and include headliner, Transglobal Underground with very special guest Natacha Atlas, plus Kila, Shooglenifty, Golem System, Mr Scruff, and Zion Train. Click here for the details announced so far.

The programme is also expected to include such delights as a Celtic fire spectacular; wind and solar powered cinema; street theatre; wind and solar powered sauna and hot showers; a healing yurt; workshops (many geared to kids), Greenwood Arts, circus skills, Tai Chi, belly dancing, celtic banner making and juggling. For children, the Kids' Marquee runs creative activities, culminating in a childrens' procession.
