Fancy dress theme

This year's theme has been announced as "Into the Wild". This will influence the decor plus the performance art  with the whole site in-keeping with the theme. There will be a Wild Parade starting 2pm on Saturday.

Call for creatives

This year Kendal Calling are also looking for creative souls with bold ideas to become part of the rich tapestry of entertainment at the festival. The festival is inviting independent artists, walkabout performers, comedians, book authors, film makers, venue decor, workshops, dance classes, games, crafts, poets, kids activities & eccentrics to come and get involved at the 12th birthday spectacular!

Kids Area

For big kids and little ones alike, enjoy workshops on percussion making and music, movement and mask making, plus story telling and creative writing along with an array of games and activities running all weekend.

Although jam-packed with entertainment, Kids Calling is a welcoming area for families with children from 0 - 10, shaded by lovely teepees and activity bell-tents for under 3's, where parents and little ones can relax and take time out from the crowds.
