Kaya Weekender is held in the grounds of the Vaynol Estate near Bangor, North Wales, and will take place over the Bank holiday weekend, on Friday 8th (campsite opens), Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th August 2014.

Kaya offers an assortment of African, Jamaican, Caribbean and world musical flavours along with a diverse range of workshops, food stalls and festival activities.

Friday:
Main Stage: Gilles Peterson, World Worx, Storm, Tacsi Band, Cowbois Caltaidd, Duv Central Sound.
Nelson Mandela Stage: Connah Evans, Sam Parsons, Combo, Sundance, Baba Yaga Band, Gethin Jones (DJ Set), Kev Roberts Northern Soul DJ Party.

A weekend adult ticket (without camping) is priced at £25, an adult day ticket (Friday, Saturday or Sunday) is priced at £10. Weekend camping is priced at £15, and a campervan pss is priced at £40 (valid all weekend - includes campervans and caravans), with a car park pass priced at £5.

Camping

Because of the fire risk, no open fires or tin foil barbecues are allowed on site. However, camping stoves or barbecues on legs may be used. No glass bottles are allowed on any part of the festival site, including the camping areas.

Charities

Kaya Festival is sponsoring two charities for this year's festival.

Local area

A short walk offsite is one of Anglesey's popular beaches Church bay, also known as Porth Swtan. Further afield and a short drive over the Menai straits is the Snowdonia National Park.
