The Inter Varsity Folk Dance Festival (IVFDF) is the UK's longest running folk festival offering a series of concerts, ceilidhs and barn dances from a selection of folk artists.

This year the 60th anniversary IVFDF takes place from Friday 25th until Sunday 27th February 2011, at University of Bristol Students' Union, Queens Road, Clifton, Bristol.

Line-up

Main events are as follows: Friday - A ceilidh with Trinculo and caller Phil Bassindale
Saturday - An afternoon display ceilidh with The Molecatchers, A ceilidh with Tickled Pink, a contra dance with The Bristol Players and caller Jethro Anderson, and a Scottish dance The Dalriada Scottish Country dance Band and caller Hugh Fergusson. There's more still to be announced.

The festival is aimed squarely at students (although anyone who feels they can keep up is welcome) and run by a different university each year. IVFDF is a non-stop weekend based (fairly broadly) around traditional forms of music and dance.

Tickets

Ticket prices have not yet been confirmed, and tickets are not yet on sale.
