My first taste of the Audio Bullys and not really knowing what to expect I was perhaps surprised to feel myself being drawn by the brash enthusiasm of these barrow boy rappers.

I am still not sure how to categorise this music, if it should be categorised at all, but there is something about the brash enthusiasm and punk energy of Simon Franks & Tom DInsdale that makes me think these Lads from the London suburbs will be around for some time. They certainly entertained the surprisingly large crowd that had appeared behind me in what some 10 minutes earlier had been sparsely populated.

Audio Bullys

There was something about the funky basslines and almost two tone bass charged house that had me engrossed, and much as the White Stripes had been stripping Blues, this is perhaps club music being taken back to it basics. For these efforts alone the Audio Bullys should be appreciated.
