Handmade is a brand new three day family friendly music festival held cross the 'Old Town' quarter of Leicester on May bank holiday weekend from Friday 24th to Monday 27th May 2013.

The event offers Nationally and Internationally renowned musical acts, comedians and performers, alongside exceptional local music, art, film and photography talent.

Plus on Friday comedy from James Acaster and Rob Deering and The Art Machine. Each evening there is stand-up comedy plus a music photography exhibition @ Duffy's Bar. On Saturday and Sunday a photography exhibition of John Taylor & Co bellfoundry by Leicester Lo-Fi and Balloon Roulette plus Rachael Smith's Complete A Comic and light installation by Joe Moran, and on Monday the Festival After Party featuring Robin Ince's Dirty Book Club @ Firebug.

The festival will be taking over some of the city's best loved established venues and bars alongside 'reclaimed' and downright unusual spaces. Organisers plan to squeeze every last inch of their bit of the city full of 'pop-up' creative brilliance.

Tickets will be exchanged for a wristband which gains you access to all Festival venues over the weekend. At particularly popular events please arrive early to guarantee admission.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
