Gig in the Park 2012

The 15th annual Gig in the Park takes place from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th August near the pretty market town of Halesworth in Suffolk. There are three stages, the Main Stage, the Intermediate Stage (playing between main stage acts), and the smaller Jungle Stage, which is situated at the back right hand corner of the park, featuring local talent of all ages and offering music, dance, and comedy.

Line-up

This year's line-up will be topped by Fun Lovin Criminals who will be headlining the Saturday with Nine Below Zero, Benjamin Bloom, Hattie Murdoch, Tiny Dragons, The Proposition, Famous Janes, Dusty Soup, Bad Touch, and Warden, in support. Friday night will be headlined by Katrina Leskanich (ex Katrina and the Waves) with support from Belter, The Jenny Tigers, One For The Record, and Waveney Amplifier Showcase. Lee Vasey, and Chu-Nah-Mi are confirmed for Sunday, with Buster James, Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers, Rave On, Mojo Kings, Maglia Rosa Group, Delta Deltas, and Shedlode also confirmed. There are still many more acts to be announced.

Tickets

Weekend tickets are priced at £38 for adults (£45 on the gate) and £25 (£30 on the gate) for kids under 14. Children aged 5 and under can attend for free. A weekend family (2 adults & 2 kids) ticket is priced at £104 (£119 on the gate). Day tickets are also available priced at £15 for adults on Friday, or £20 for Saturday, or £14 on Sunday. There will also be children's entertainers, craft and food stalls and an extensive range of real ales on sale in the beer tent.

On the Friday, it is expected to once again run from 6.30pm-11pm, Saturday from noon until 11.45pm, and on the Sunday from noon until 11pm.

Ample car parking is available.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
