The Groove Loch Ness team launch a new sister event this year Groove CairnGorm 2016 takes place from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th March at Natural Retreats Cairngorm Mountain, in Scotland and is the UK's first resort based snowsports festival .

As well as regular snowsports, the event takes place over the same weekend as the Scottish Freestyle Championships, so expect to see some of the country's top riders grabbing some big air during the day.

Line-up

Grandmaster Flash, Hot Chip (DJ Set), The Cuban Brothers, DJ Yoda, Prides, Monki, Eton Messy, Niteworks, Spring Break, and The Elephant Sessions.

The line-up for artists on the mountain will be released over the next couple of months and will feature a mixture of DJ’s and acoustic acts performing on the slopes, at the park, and in the highest restaurant in the UK, The Ptarmigan.

A limited number of early bird tickets including 2 day mountain snowsports passes and 2 nights Apre-ski Big Top Entertainment (Fri11th/Sat12th) are available for £100.

Shuttle Busses

Busses will operate between Inverness and Aviemore. Free shuttle busses will be provided for festival goers between Aviemore and the Cairngorm mountain for the snowsports during the day along with free shuttle bus transport from the mountain and Aviemore to and from Badaguish. Shuttle busses will also be operating between Inverness and Badaguish for those who want to attend the music element only. These will depart Inverness from 3pm and return from Badaguish at 1am each day costing just £15 for a return bus ticket.

There will be snowsports and entertainment each day up on the mountain, followed by apres ski with live music and world class DJs until the early hours in a big top in Aviemore. The apres ski portion of the event will happen at Badaguish Outdoor Centre.
