International partner

The Convention

As well as the live music, there's also a number of "Parkinson" style interviews with luminaries from the world of Music and Media, to show the way in which success is achieved, as well as educational panels, workshops and networking sessions. The UK's premiere music business convention, is a place for music industry professionals from across the world to exchange knowledge, ideas, contacts and business.

In 2014, The Great Escape will introduce a new approach to their convention programming, with six core strands each focusing on a different area of the music business, with insight presentations and one-on-one interviews in addition to the more conventional panels. There will also be more opportunities to question and network with the 100+ experts who will appear on the convention stage.

Speakers include Dan le Sac, Oleg Fomenko, Chris Gorman, MP Mike Weatherley (David Cameron's Intellectual Property Rights advisor), who will be leading a strand on Maximising Music Rights, along with representatives from organisations such as PPL, PRS for Music, Kobalt, Muso and the Featured Artists Coalition. He will also be in conversation with Chris Cooke discussing the current thinking on IP issues in Westminster and Whitehall.

Delegate passes are priced at £100. To buy delegates tickets now, click here.

Taking place at the same time as the music festival, it offers delegates an extensive programme of panels, conversations, parties and networking sessions, enabling them to better tackle the challenges and capitalise on the opportunities that exist in the modern music industry.

14+ audiences

The Great Escape have also announced they will be opening up a number of the shows to a 14+ audience.
