Run by Michael Eavis (of Glastonbury Festival) for 19 years, and set in the grounds of Glastonbury Abbey, it has seen many memorable performances over the years. This year the event takes place on Saturday 8th August, 2015. Gates open 6pm.

This unique event has grown in stature over the years and is already a high spot in the musical calendar of the South West. It's a real occasion, with stage screeens, beautiful water fountains, lights, candelabra, picnics, and a fireworks finale.

Line-up

Ray Davies will headline, before the traditional closing fireworks display. The support acts are The Drystones, Joan Armatrading, and The Shires.

Tickets are priced at £35 per Adult ticket (in advance), £20 for children (aged 6 to 16 years), 5's and under free. Gate prices are £40 adult, £25 for a child aged six to 16. Children must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult. Tickets are anticipated to sell very quickly.

Note - Some card transactions will carry a surcharge. This will be no more than £3.50 per transaction.

In person at the Abbey Shop where there is free collection or £1.50 delivery charge. By posting a cheque/postal order made payable to Glastonbury Festivals Ltd, to Glastonbury Extravaganza, 28 Northload Street, Glastonbury, Somerset, BA6 9JJ indicating number of tickets required, postal details and delivery fee of £1.50 per order.

Getting there

A free park and ride service from Clarks Village in Street operates both nights from 5pm and will shuttle people to and from the Abbey.

Camping

This year there's an exclusive campsite for visitors to stay for the whole weekend, and make the most of the town.

A bus will take Extravaganza-goers to the Abbey and back for the concert. The campsite will have security and toilet facilities and will be available from 10am on Friday August 7 until 12noon on Monday August 10. Parking will be available at the campsite.

Bookings for the campsite will be taken on a first come, first served basis. Once an Extravaganza ticket has been booked, ticket holders are asked to email extravaganza@glastonburyfestivals.co.uk with details of the number of ticket holders, tents and vehicles and organisers will reply with more information.
