What have Bobby Gillespie and Mani got in common? They've both made albums that defined a generation. And they are both now in a really shit band. Primal Scream tonight are truly awful.
Their current direction is all well and good if you live in Hoxton and are a c**t. But this ain't Hoxton and the Scream stink.
The more you scream 'play something I know off Screamadelica' the more they play some disco/krautrock/rock shit. The more you want them to be socialist agitators, the more they hang around with disgustingly vacuous Thatcherites like Kate Moss.
They used to have soul, they used to have funk, heck they used to be my heroes. Now they are just sad old men, dying an ungracious death. Losers.
