Glasgowbury is a long running music festival held outside Draperstown in the foothills of the Sperrin Mountains. The 2011 festival will take place on Saturday 23rd July and will feature performances from established and upcoming artists.

Line-up

New additions to this year's bill are Fred, Le Galaxie, Paul Shevlin, A Plastic Rose, Paul Casey, The Bonnevilles, Preacher's Son, Kowalski, Seven Summits, Rachel Austin, Intermission, Gascan Ruckus, Kasper Rosa, Aaron Shanley, Dead Til Friday, Colly Strings, The Plea, Pocket Billiards, Team Fresh, Katie & The Carnival, Elspeth, Pat Dam Smyth, The 1930s, Phoenix Fire, Allie Bradley, Jason Clarke, Dolbro Dan, John D'Arcy, Paddy Nash, Sweet Jane… and special guests.

They join Cashier No. 9 who will headline the Small But Massive Main Stage. Also confirmed are Girls Names, We Are Knuckle Dragger, Darkest Era, Event Horses, The Answer, Phil Kieran, Rainy Boy Sleep, LaFaro, Mojo Fury, Foy Vance, Axis Of, Furlo, The Wonder Villains, More Than Conquerors, Rams' Pocket Radio, Silhouette, The Rupture Dogs and Swanee River.

Also, for the first time this year the festival will boast a comedy G Spot stage with a mix of established and up and coming talent including Joe Rooney (Father Damo), John Collleary, Colin Geddis, Micky Barlett, Adam Laughlin, Raidhri Ward, Shane Todd, and Sean Hegarty.

Tickets are priced at £30 for the festival or £40 for the festival with 2 nights camping. Tickets are available to buy online here.

Camping

The camp site will open from 6pm on Friday and must be vacated by 12 noon on Sunday. A designated family camp site will be located on site. Please make security aware of your requirements on entry. No glass bottles / no camp fires / no barbecue stoves are allowed in the camping area.

Campervans

Camper vans will be allowed to park at the An Rath Dubh Centre only – approximately one mile from the site, and are charged around £5, and places are limited.

On site

There are lots of activities and workshops, parades, reflexology and indian head massage therapies, plenty of traders and stalls, a full selection of food stalls will feature at the festival including chip vans, crepe making stalls, a Thai noodle bar, Indian cuisine plus tea, coffee and snacks etc. Alcohol is allowed in the camp site but not in the festival site, where bars provide alcohol and soft drinks.
