'Freedom' is a FREE music and live arts festival, taking place in Hull city centre from the evening of Friday 7th September, midday to late night of Saturday 8th and late morning to mid-afternoon of Sunday 9th September. The Festival will begin with a special preview evening on Thursday 6th September.

Line-up

2012 will offer visual and auditory delights that will entertain all ages with a broad range of programmes including street theatre, cabaret, dance, comedy, and live music.

Pier Stage
Friday: Spiritualized will be headlining joined by special guests Little Barrie and Windum Earl.
Saturday: Northern Soul night with Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, with support from The Milk, Smoove & Turrell, and Swiss Lips.

The E20 Yellow Bus Stage
Friday: Gypsy Hill, Liberty Skank, Hillbilly Troupe, OrGaNiKaRmOnIc.
Saturday: DJ The Reverend, Kid British, New Orleans Mardi Grass Jazz Band, Threads Orchestra, New York Brass Band, Street Theatre Procession, Dutch Gypsy Jazz Legends, A Dread Supreme, Tim Kliphuis Gypsy Jazz Quartet, Bossa Revista.

Fruit at Freedom
Friday: Endoflevelbaddie, The Neat, Last Dinosaurs, Goodnight Ohio, Towns, Sulk, La Bete Blooms.
Sunday: Mark Morris.

Pave Café Bar
Sunday: Richard Ormrod and Paul Hession E20 finale.

New for Freedom 2012

New for 2012 is the Teatro Spiegeltent, a 1900's mirrored dancehall from Belgium which will be situated in the Fruit Market (Humber Place/Wellington Street) showcasing children's theatre, spoken word and comedy, music and cabaret shows direct from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
