The annual FolkEast festival takes place from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd August 2021, returning to the 300 acres of parkland site at Glemham Hall, in Suffolk.

The festival will run with a more limited 2 stages, the open air Sunset Stage and Moot Hall, plus a workshop space. Two local pubs, The Cobbold Arms and Hop Inn will be serving local ales and ciders.

Confirmed acts include Afro Celt Sound System, Elephant Sessions, The Young'Uns, Drever McCusker & Woomble, Catrin Finch & Seckou ketia, Kris Drever, Gigspanner Big Band, Daoiri Farrell, Topette!!, The Shee, The Moulettes, The Trials of Cato, Jimmy Aldridge & Sid Goldsmith, Three Cane Whale, Elbow Jane, M G Boulter, plus more to be announced.

Tickets are on sale, currently priced as follows:-
adult weekend: £120
concession weekend: £110
youth (12-17) weekend: £80
child (0-11) weekend: free but needs ticket
camping: £20 per tent
campervan: £30

Festival patrons are Teesside-based trio The Young’uns who will work with FolkEast to promote folk music as a living tradition and will perform a special patron’s set at each future event.

Capacity will be limited to between 2000-4000, depending on trial results, down from the usual 10000.


Please note that dogs are not allowed on the site and campfires are prohibited.

Getting there

Glemham Hall is just north of Ipswich and is easily accessible by road and rail. A shuttle service will operate between the site and Wickham Market Railway Station.
