Established in 1994 and now in its 14th year, the International Benicàssim Festival, FIB Heineken, near Valencia, Spain is back for 2007 from Thursday 17th until Sunday 20th July. With camping thrown in with your ticket price, all night music over 4 days, and sited just walking distance from the beach and a huge water park, there has probably never been a better reason to pack your bikini in your rucksack and get on a plane...

Benicassim has something to offer across the whole musical spectrum, as indie and rock bands rub shoulders with DJs and more experimental music projects. A number of acts are confirmed, including My Bloody Valentine, Leonard Cohen, Morrissey, Babyshambles, Siouxsie Sioux, Jose Gonzalez, My Bloody Valentine, Roisin Murphy, The National, The Rumble Strips, Spiritualized, and more. As well as this diverse array of musical performers, the festival boasts a quality bill of non-musical entertainment, including dance, art, theatre, fashion, silent disco and short films. As well as the usual markets, bars, and food outlets. Several other celebrations of the arts take place within the Benicassim festival, including the Internacional de Cortos FIB short film festival, the Mustang Fashion Weekend, the FIB-art exhibition, and the Cita con la Danza festival of dance and choreography, with educational arts courses on top of all this provided by local university, Universidad Jaume I. Young bands are also encouraged to enter the Proyecto Demo competition, a Contest for new Music Creators where entrants could win the opportunity to perform live in front of the huge crowds alongside various other prizes.
