Practical Action

Farmfestival is held on an Organic farm near Bruton, Somerset. The event is a non profit making festival that raises money for 'Practical Action' whilst having a good party. 'Practical Action' is a charity that works with poor communities to help them choose and use technology to improve their lives.

Entertainment

Farmfestival is not corporate in any way, and promotes and showcases local, regional and national bands on two stages, the main stage and the tent stage. Music includes, rock, pop, indie, ska, reggae, dub, blues and folk.

Facilities

The event is at a family venue, many families have said how much they have enjoyed it. There is a family campsite for families and their children only separated from the general campsite with its own toilet and washing facilities. Secured parking and camping are included in the ticket price. The food is provided by the farm crew and is only organic, with a good choice of vegetarian and vegan menus.

It's not all about the music at FarmFestival though; held on an organic farm the festival offers an intimate, laid-back alternative to large commercial festivals. Featuring clothing and jewellery stalls, delicious hog roast, cider from a local orchard, crazy golf and a mad hatter's tea party, the weekend is as relaxing as it is fun. The event also has a bar, food stalls, art installations, and lots of randomness.

This year also sees a new main stage, named after the festival's friend, musical director and eternal Farmfest legend, Gavin Harry (1983-2011).

Oh, and don't forget to wear a hat, it's compulsory (and the best hats gets free tickets to next year's festival!).

More information will be here when available.
