Ether returns over the dates of Thursday 9th until Friday 24th April at the Southbank Centre.

Now in its sixth year, David Byrne will be appearing at Ether 2009 performing the songs of David Byrne and Brian Eno on Sunday 12th and Monday 13th April 2009.

The line-up for this year's festival also includes Peaches (with free aftershow featuring Thecocknbullkid and vaudeville with Pustra/Vileen), Royksopp, Fever Ray, J Spaceman (Spiritualized) and Matthew Shipp as Spaceshipp, Mouse On Mars, Plaid, Noise Of Art, Fennesz, Rosy Parlane, Squarepusher, CM Von Hausswolff, and The London Sinfonietta and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment play Heiner Goebbels. Brian Eno and Jon Hassell will hold a conversation piece on Thursday 9th April.

Due to unforseen circumstances De La Soul will not be performing at Royal Festival Hall as part of Southbank Centre's Ether festival.

Tokyo-based sculptor and musician Ujino show his sound sculpture and performance project, The Rotators, for the first time in the UK throughout the festival at the Hayward Project Space.
