Ely Folk Festival 2010

The Folk Weekend, now in its 25th year, is based on a single site which includes marquees, camping facilities, food stalls, trade stands, real-ale bar, real toilets, showers, children's entertainment plus Morris displays and pub sessions during the day in Ely City centre.

This is a small, friendly festival happening from Friday 9th until Sunday 11th July 2010, where artists play meet and greet 'unplugged' sessions, there is also a real ale bar, trade stalls, numerous concerts, dances, displays, sessions, ceilidhs and children's entertainment plus a programme of workshops.

Line-up

The first acts confirmed for 2010 are Oysterband, Lau, John Tams & Barry Coope, The Demon Barber Roadshow, Vin Garbutt, The Floozies, Colvin Quarmby, New Essex Bluegrass Band, Chris Sherburn & Denny Bartley, Something Nasty in the Woodshed, Dave Kelly, Maggie Bell & the British Blues Quintet, Wizz Jones, Pete Morton, Les Barker, Harvey Andrews, Faustus, Lau, Dogan Mehmet, Beckleberry, Tyde, and Bryony Lemon & Friends, with more acts still to be confirmed.

Accommodation

There is ample space for tents and caravans on site, and free parking is provided close to the festival site. There are also plenty of alternative accommodation available in Ely. Ely city centre is easily accessible by the organised shuttle bus (or 20 minutes walk).

Tickets

Weekend season tickets have sold out, a weekend adult ticket was priced at £58) (£42 concessions); kids tickets for those aged 10-17 yrs are £19. Camping is priced at £8, or £4 for kids, each camping is charged per person whether it's a tent, or in a campervan or a caravan. All day Sunday tickets priced at £25, and Sunday night only priced at £16, have sold out. Only day tickets for Friday evening priced at £18 are still available. To buy tickets online, click here.
