The majority of festival events take place in Langney, in two schools and a community centre on the east side of town from Friday the 2nd until Monday the 5th of May.

The emphasis is on dancing, to participate in, watch, lead and make music for, covering a wide range of tastes and styles from Playford, English Social, American and International Folk Dance, with evening dances in those styles.

Acts booked for 2008 include Alan Davies, Angie Saravelaki (Greek), Julie Korth, Brian Dowsett, Keeping Thyme, Cristina Casarini (Italian), Kelly’s Eye, Deo Volente, Morena Dance Company, Delyan Demirev, Narrow Escape, Dunav (Balkan band), Pete & Marj Hendy, Geoff Cubitt, Ruth Allmayer, Helena Benge, Valerie Webster, and from Canada Crowfoot.

In order for folk fans to concentrate on dancing and playing, all the venues are close together, within a short walking distance. Also close by is a canteen for snacks, the school which provides light meals and a bar for hard and soft drinks.

During the day there are four workshop sessions, and an afternoon tea-dance. On Friday evening there are three simultaneous dances; on Saturday and Sunday nights there are four, plus other special events programmed.

One season ticket gains admittance to all events and day tickets are also available. A season ticket is priced at £60 until Saturday the 1st March when the price will rise to £65.

There are plenty of places to stay around town as well as local camping facilities.

It's a non-smoking Festival.
