Eastbourne International Folkdance Festival

Eastbourne International Folkdance Festival concentrates on providing workshops and dances for enthusiasts.

The majority of the festival take place in Langney, in two schools and a community centre on the east side of the town. The festival which is traditionally over the May Day bank holiday weekend has over the years gained a reputation for a mix of both well-established and up-and-coming folk bands and traditional dance callers.

Organisers always offer a wide variety of dance practice workshops, visiting display sides and evenings of social dances in the style Playford, English Social, American and International Folk.

There are plenty of places to stay around town as well as local camping facilities.
