The second Concrete and Glass will take place from Thursday 13th to Friday 28th May 2010 following the festival's successful premiere in 2008. The event will take place Hoxton Square, East London. The art exhibitions will be presented in collaboration with 20 Hoxton Square Projects and the Sound Art & Music performances will take place at Hoxton Bar & Kitchen.

Line-up

There first acts confirmed include Volcano The Bear, The Owl Project, Cutup Collective - Solina Hifi, RocketNumberNine, Musclehead DJs, David Shrigley, Martin Creed, Worried Noodles, and Please. This year's focus is on specially commissioned new works, with an emphasis on the cross-over between music, art and performance.

The line-up of artists includes Alexander Baynes, Nick Bailey, Alice Anderson, Oliver Beer, Ben Long, Paul Westcombe, Brass Art Collective, Robert Montgomery, Charlotte Warner Thomas, Suki Chan, Claire Morgan, Tamsin Snow, Clarisse D'Arcimole, Thomas Lindvig, Duncan Swan, Tim Head, Lilah Fowler, Tim Phillips, Matt Clark, Tyson Howard, and Natasha Rees.

Ticket prices have not yet been confirmed, and tickets are not yet on sale.

Heart of Glass

At the heart of Concrete and Glass is Heart of Glass, an eclectic group show of new art. The works for the show will be chosen from an open submission process, in conjunction with murmurART and the Contemporary Art Society, and will feature both established and emerging artists. A panel of art experts will select a 'winner' who will be offered a solo show at the following year's festival.
