One of Scotland's most predominant mid-winter music festivals, which attracts the Celtic and World music talent from around the globe, with more than 150 acts performing around the city of Glasgow. Celtic Connections takes place from Thursday 14th until Monday 31st February 2016.

More than 2,500 artists will take part in 300 events in over 20 venues across Glasgow. Plus the nightly Celtic Connections Festival Club, and Late Night Sessions at The Concert Hall.

Ticket prices vary from FREE to around £35.

Venues

Various venues across Glasgow are utilised for Celtic Connections such as the Main Auditorium in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, O2 ABC, The Tron, Òran Mór, The Mitchell Theatre, City Halls, Kelvingrove, St Andrews in the Square and the Old Fruitmarket will all play host to Celtic Connections events. Celtic Connections 2014 will also use the brand new SSE Hydro, Scotland's biggest ever music venue.

Many events sell out very quickly and as well as the predictably popular artists, there are also many specialist events.

Highlights

Other highlights to expect include the nightly Celtic Connections Festival Club (for season ticket holders), free schools concerts in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, the free Open Stage Sessions at Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall Exhibition Hall, workshops every weekend, ceilidhs, late night sessions, talks, films and dance.
