The Elizabethan family home, Burton Agnes Hall, East Yorkshire, will be hosting the seventh Jazz & Blues weekend from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th July 2013 with live music, picnics in the grounds and children's entertainment. The festival is organised by its sax-playing owner Simon Cunliffe-Lister and jazz singer Saffron Byass.

Line-up

Jazz legend Kenny Ball, who died in March this year, was to play on Saturday with his Jazzmen. The show will go on; Kenny's Jazzmen will perform celebrating his life and work, with vocalist Keith Ball, Kenny's son, stepping into his father's shoes as the frontman to put on a musical, swinging show, aptly celebrating the great life of Kenny Ball.

Held over three days, with performances both inside the Elizabethan Hall and outside in the Hall's grounds, the Burton Agnes Jazz & Blues festival presents a varied line up of funk, traditional jazz, hard blues, dreamy vocals and everything in between.

Friday Evening: Octopus, Cherry-Lee Mewis, Harri Watts Band, Cadenas Vivaz.

Saturday: The Lemon Monkeys (Matt Smith and Carlos Olmos), The Potter Ensemble, Gwyneth Herbert, A celebration of Kenny Ball performed by his Jazzmen and son Keith Ball, Simon McBride, Lucy Marshall, The Alligators.

Sunday: Rob Law Quartet with Thom Whitworth, Trudy Kerr Quartet, 24 Pesos, Ben Beattie's Jazz Essentials plus Simon Cunliffe-Lister.

On Friday and Saturday evening the Wolds Top beer tent will play host to the Beverley Arts Trust's late night sessions of folk, jazz and rhythm 'n' blues.
