A statement from organisers said, "Dear Brownstockers, After 12 years of incredible music, amazing people and the best memories, it is with heavy hearts that we have made the difficult decision to shut the farm gates and no longer hold BSTK Festival.

Due to changes in the industry we can no longer deliver the event we set out to create and that we feel you deserve.

We will cherish the memories you have all helped us create, as we hope you will too.We will always be proud of what you all helped us to create and the cultural influence in the local area, without your support there wouldn’t have been a festival.

Ticket holders for the 2017 event will be automatically refunded.

All moneys will be returned in the next 10 working days (including booking fees and postage). "

An independent boutique festival run by the Brown family on their farm in Essex. The festival started as an over grown family party giving it a rustic uniqueness.

The 13th Brownstock Festival takes place at Morris Farm, Chelmsford, in Essex from Friday 7th until Sunday 9th July 2017.

There are no acts announced yet for 2017.

Tickets

A limited number of early bird tickets are priced at only £79. There's also a a payment plan where a ticket can be secured for £8.18 per month (£90 face value) for customers making a purchase in July or August. Children aged under 12 can attend for free.

On site extras

Expect a Farmer's Food Village, art camp with a 50 metre wall painting and graffittied combine harvester, a late license with a 24 hour silent disco, Pianookee and open mic in the new Piano Bar, hip hop karaoke, and a fully interactive array of extras. Plus such delights as the Brownstock tavern, Brown Town's mud wrestling arena, Spiderman bungee jumps, full skate park, 5-a-side football cage, the brown town shopping mall, live graffiti, parkour free running park, Brown Town fairground, battle of the brands and more.
