Set in a beautiful town within stunning Welsh countryside, Brecon Jazz takes place from Friday 12th until Sunday 14th August 2011, offering a mix of Great Brits and legendary Jazz stars from across the African continent to share the joy of Jazz in 50 concerts over 3 days.

Line-up

Femi Kuti & The Positive Force, Allen Toussaint, and Monty Alexander headline, with BBC Radio 2 Big Band and Maceo Parker, Matthew Herbert Big Band, John Surman, Clare Teal, The Core, Courtney Pine + Zoe Rahman, Yaron Herman Trio, The Robert Glasper Experiment, Polar Bear, Gilad Atzmon & the OHE, Hidden Orchestra, Alice Russell, Sara Mitra, and Christian Prommer confirmed. With many more still to be announced.

Expect around 25 concerts over the weekend, which will also feature free family events - Fireworks on Friday, a Jazz Carnival parade on Saturday, and the Jazz Service on Sunday.

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
