Brecon Jazz Festival 2008

Set in a beautiful town within stunning Welsh countryside, Brecon Jazz celebrates its 25th year, maintaining a high reputation amongst jazz lovers and offering top quality specialist music with approximately 90 concerts. There is also a free programme of street music and an opening ceremony on Friday evening at 6.30pm in the town centre.

Joining in the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of Brecon Jazz will be 90 performances over four days, by Jazz legends who have come to Brecon over the years who have been invited back to join in the celebrations.

Artists include Lee Konitz, Mark Murphy, Louis Hayes, Joe Temperley, Maceo Parker, Roy Hargrove, Roberta Gambarini, Harry Allen, Jesse Davis, Esbjorn Svensson Trio, Roll Jordan Roll with the Kingdom Choir, Courtney Pine, Don Weller Big Band, Neil Cowley, Jason Rebello, The Blessing, Empirical, Clare Teal, Sir John Dankworth and Dame Cleo Laine, Huw Warren, Burum, and the Jones O'Connor Quartet, plus many more.

There will be a new Stroller venue this year on the grounds of Christ College.

Stroller tickets allow visitors to stroll through the town from one event to another and choose from around 60 stroller events over the weekend. Children aged 4-14 years admitted half price. Stroller tickets are priced at £48 and tickets for individual concerts in the main venues start from £12.50. There are also day stroller tickets which are priced as follows:
Friday Evening Stroller: 6.00pm -11.00pm, £10.
Saturday Stroller: AM until 11.00pm, £30.
Sunday Stroller: AM until 9.00pm, £25.
