Bloodstock is to hold its second Open Air festival on the 14th/15th July 2006, subject to licence. The aim is to offer a traditional Rock Music Festival comparable to those regularly seen in Europe (but on a smaller scale initially of 6,000-10,000 capacity), and capturing the spirit of the original Monsters Of Rock shows which used to take place at Castle Donington during the 1980's and 1990's.

For 2006, two stages are planned, with more bands.

As well as the bands, there'll be food stalls, merchandise stands, stalls selling CDs, clothing, and jewellery, a camping shop, and a bar!

So far the line-up looks something like this:

MAIN STAGE
Headliner (T.b.c.)
Metal Church
Atheist
Nocturnal Rites
Pyramaze

SECOND STAGE
Evile
Headless Cross
Pitiful Reign

Saturday 15 July

MAIN STAGE
Headliner (T.b.c.)
Turisas
Callenish Circle
Ensiferum
Raunchy
Ashtar
Season's End

SECOND STAGE
8 bands to be announced!!!

More information will be here when available.
