The new Best Kept Secret festival takes place at Beekse Bergen in Hilvarenbeek for the first time from Friday 21st until Sunday 23rd June 2013.

Line-up

Latest addition is Saturday's headliner Damien Rice plus Black Dice, Bloc Party, Danny Brown, Everything Everything, French Films, Fuck Buttons, Iceage, Local Natives, Mozes & The Firstborn, Savages, Suuns, and The Black Angels.

He joins Alt-J, Arctic Monkeys, No Age, Portishead, Sigur Ros, Skaters, Ofei, Two Door Cinema Club, Agnes Obel, Indians, The History of Apple Pie, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Mozes And The Firstborn, Mikhael Paskalev, Tyler The Creator The Maccabees, Wave Machines, Splashh, Efterklang, Swans, Balthazar, Thomas Azier, Belle and Sebastian, Modest Mouse, Temples, Cashmere Cat, and Swim Deep.

The music starts at 5pm on Friday, and 2pm on Saturday or Sunday. The music policy is a strong, sharp line-up in which big names are interspersed with new discoveries from indie, folk, hip-hop, dub step, rock, electronica or a mixture of styles.

Tickets

Tickets are priced at 118 euros with camping, or 99 without camping. A day ticket is priced at 49 euros for Friday, and 59 for either of the other two days. To buy tickets, click here.

On site

The festival site has a forest, beach, swimming water, nearby bungalow park and campsite, facilities and food and drink outlets.

Tokens

On the festival site and the campsite, payments are only possible using tokens. It is not possible to use cash. Tokens can be purchased from various locations on the festival grounds and the campsite using cash or PIN.

Cashpoints

Cashpoints are present on the festival site, where you can withdraw cash. Some token booths also have the option to withdraw cash. For your own safety, make sure you don't have too much cash in your pocket, or in your tent or bungalow. Unfortunately, burglars and thieves also visit festivals.

Camping

The Best Kept Secret festival campsite is a regular and official campsite. They are required by Dutch law to register their guests staying overnight (the so-called 'night registry') all campers must register name, residence and age at time of ticket purchase. Please email ticket@bestkeptsecret.nl to change info in the register prior to the festival. This information will solely be used for this purpose and will be treated confidentially.

Getting there

The Netherlands has good rail, road, and airport networks. The festival is within easy reach by car, public transport and bicycle. The festival tries to be as green and sustainable as possible, so they recommend public transport or carpooling.

To get there take the train to Tilburg. From there, shuttle busses will leave for the festival site. Before you leave, check out ns.nl or an OV-app for up-to-date travel information.

The parking is open every day from 9am. A parking ticket for the entire weekend costs 10 euros, or 5 euros for a single day Make sure to have this amount with you in cash, so there is no unnecessary delay.

Children

There is no minimum age for visiting Best Kept Secret festival, but the organisation has a minimum age recommendation of 16 years. If you are younger than 16 years old, then make sure you are accompanied by an adult. The normal entrance fee applies for young people. There are no special facilities for children on the festival site.
