The very first Bristol International Jazz & Blues Festival will take place from Friday 1st until Sunday 3rd March 2013 at Colston Hall.

Line-up

Jazz & blues artists from around the world will converge in Bristol for one explosive weekend as Colston Hall plays host to a programme of concerts, workshops and jam sessions that encompass the entire history of jazz.

Friday: The Big Chris Barber Band, Ginger Baker's Jazz Confusion.

Free Foyer Bands: The Zen Hussies, Dhakla, Moscow Drug Club.

Saturday: Alyn Shipton Clayton Legacy 9 piece Band, Duke Ellington's Sacred Concerts & Big Buzzard Band, Get the Blessing, Lillian Boutte, John Scofield.

Free Foyer Bands: Wells Cathedral School Big Band, Sebastien Girardot Trio: Homage to Nat King Cole, Jerry Crozier-Cole Trio, Gary Alesbrook: The Duval Project, Smith & Willox, The Brass Junkies, Gypsyfire Quartet, Nick Malcolm Quartet.

Sunday: Bateman Brothers Band, Andy Sheppard, Matt Schofield, Pee Wee Ellis & Clare Teal, and Arturo Sandoval.

Free Foyer Bands: Denny Ilett Trio, Kevin Figes: 4-Sided Triangle, Innes Sibun Band, David Newton, Moonlight Saving Time, The Brass Junkies, Andy Hague Quintet, James Morton's Porkchop.

Plus afternoon Workshops and late-night Jam Sessions.

Tickets

Tickets are priced at £130 for a weekend festival pass (very limited availability) £130, £30 for a Friday evening tickets, and £60 for either a Saturday or Sunday day ticket. To buy tickets, click here.

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
