The Big Snow Festival has been cancelled.

A statement from organisers says:

"For a number of reasons the Big Snow event in March 2013 wasn't going to be the scale of event we wanted it to be for our customers so we've taken the decision to cancel it. We will continue to run the ever popular Big Reunion events in the UK this winter though."

The Big Snow Festival takes place from Sunday 17th to Sunday 24th March 2013 at Sauze d'Oulx, in Italy. The festival offers a week of skiing and snowboarding combined with music acts and DJs.

There are no acts announced yet for 2013.

The resort

The lively, snow-sure resort is situated at one end of the Via Lattea (Milky Way) ski area, and has great links to other resorts. There are nearly 600 individual pistes, around 400km of runs, 3 board parks and the option to ski all the way over the border to Montgenèvre in France, making Sauze D'Oulx ideal place to keep all levels of skiing and boarding abilities entertained.

Tickets

Tickets with various flight, accommodation and wristband options can be purchased. Big Snow Packages are also available, which include return flights from London Gatwick flying to Milan (Italy), transfers, seven nights accommodation and access to all the events.

The accommodation and events wristband can also be purchased separately, tickets are not yet on sale.

Getting there

The festival has re-located, to one of the liveliests resorts in Europe...Sauze D'Oulx in Italy. Flights arrive into Turin and Milan Malpensa, from London Heathrow, London Gatwick and Manchester.

Located at one end of the Susa valley, 90km west of Turin, it is ideally situated close to major travel routes.

The motorway linking Turin with Lyon runs along the valley floor making transfers from Turin airport about 1 hour. This also makes travelling by car through France a viable option.

In Oulx you'll find a train station that services not only local stations but also Paris making it possible for people to arrive from all over Europe via the train.
