Now celebrating it's 21st year, this popular folk festival plays host to many well known artists. The following are expected to be performing this year, subject to contract:

The Levellers (acoustic); The Waterson Family; Oysterband; Go Lem System; Ian Rankin and Jackie Leven; poet, Ian McMillan and 'Cartonnist of the Year', Tony Husband will present 'An Instant Rhyming History of Folk Music'; Martin Simpson; Roy Bailey; The Black Umfolosi 5 (from Zimbabwe); The Coal Porters; North Cregg; 422; Old Rope String Band; Sid Kipper; Doghouse Skiffle Group; Last Night's Fun; Nancy Kerr and James Fagan; Jim Eldon; Sam Pirt; AJ; Waking the Witch; Beverley Community Choir; Ethno England; Dr Sunshine; Beverley Garland Dancers; Green Ginger Garland; Green Ginger Morris; Mortimers Morris; Newcastle Kingsmen; Ouse Washes Molly; Bradshaw Mummers; Stone Monkey; BlackAdder; Raise the Dust; White Rose Morris; Opanka and Solstice.

During the festival weekend many of the pubs host sessions although the Leisure centre and the Minster are the main venues. There are also street performances including morris dancers, magicians, comedians and children's entertainers.

The festival has a campsite utilising the facillities of the adjacent Leisure centre which also hosts the Craft/Music fair on Saturday and Sunday. There is a wide variety of alternative accommodation in the town and the main venues are all within easy walking distance of each other.

There are discounts on tickets brought before 1st April. Family and day/evening tickets are available with concessions for pensioners. Camping is available at £6 per night for those who aren't staying the entire weekend.
