The Levellers own festival which they hope will "offer not only the best in live music today but to re-create a community spirit that many events nowadays lack or choose to ignore. This event is about people young and old coming together and taking part in something that will be remembered for a long time." It's certainly succeeded in that aim, and has become one of the most popular, selling out most years.

The dates for the seventh Beautiful Days are confirmed as from Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd August at Escot Park, near Fairmile, Devon.

Friday night headliners are Hawkwind, The Pogues are headlining Saturday night, and Levellers will headline and close the festival, as is traditional, and Levellers will headline on the Sunday night and close the festival playing the album 'A Weapon Called the Word' in its entirety, plus a few other favourites, followed by a firework finale.
Also performing are The Saw Doctors, Gong, Lamb, The Imagined Village, Pendulum (DJ set), Seth Lakeman, The Blockheads, The Wonder Stuff, Tom Middleton, Kissmet, Banco de Gaia, The Broken Family Band, Peatbog Faeries, Frank Turner, Jim Moray, Pronghorn, Dub Pistols, Cara Dillon, The King Blues, Eliza Carthy, Imelda May, Lau, Edward II, Kris Drever, John McCusker & Roddy Woomble Trio, John Smith, Sonic Boom Six, Chris T-T, Jay Jay Pistolet, Ruarri Joseph, and more. Confirmed to appear on the comedy line-up in The Little Big Top are Duncan Oakley, Jeff Innocent, Martin Soan, Liam Mullone, Keith Platt, Mitch Benn, Barry Castagnola, with compere Scary Dave.

There will be more confirmed acts to follow, and acts and running orders the Bimble Inn and the Pussy Parlure will be announced at the event in the programme and on blackboards outside the venues.

The festival's 2009 theme is 'Flower Power' a colourful theme offering fancy dress wearers the chance to pick something retro, psychedelic or hippie.

The festival features music across five stages, and street theatre, as well as site art and sculpture, lots of children's activities a huge children's area in the centre of the festival, theatre, comedy, family camping, camping facilities, licensed bars from local company Otter Brewery, world food, craft stalls, fancy dress, a 'village shop' on site, and more. There is plenty of family camping close to the car parks, which will be clearly signposted.

Tickets for Beautiful Days 2009 have sold out, and were priced as follows, tickets will be posted out in July.
Adult weekend with camping - £100.00
Aged 10 to under-16 weekend with camping - £60.00
Aged 5 to under-10 weekend with camping - £30.00
Aged 0 to under-5 weekend with camping - £5.00
Campervan pass (must be purchased in advance) - £30.00 - SOLD OUT
Car parking (in advance, more on the gate) - £10.00

Please make sure you purchase tickets for the age your child will be when they attend the festival, not their age at the time you buy.

The festival will once again be offering free tickets for carers, disabled/flat camping and parking - all of which must be booked in advance.

The earliest entry for weekend ticket holders is 9.00am on Friday 21 August and festival goers must be off site by midday on Monday 24 August. The gates will close for entry and re-entry at 3.00pm on Sunday 23 August.
