Beach Break Live 2009

Yes, this really is a festival running from Tuesday 16th to Thursday 19th June but as it's a festival for students, it doesn't matter.

This year the festival will be held on a site on a headland in North Cornwall with panoramic views of the sea and a short walk to a sandy surf beach. It also features a huge natural quarry where the event will be held. It aims to compliment the music with indie films, theatre and "breaking student talent" as well as dips into the sea, and extra activities.

There are no acts confirmed for the 2009 event.

Early bird offers for tickets have now sold out. Tickets are priced at £84, 84 with the options of booking coach travel, which run from most universities across the UK, and to come down and set up camp a day early for no extra cost. To buy tickets click here.

New for Beach Break Live will be world's biggest pyjama party (midnight feasts, pillow fights, giant spin the bottle etc etc.) and returning with some of 2008 favourites. Some of the other activities on offer for festival goers include fun competitions, Surf championships, outdoor activities, pimp my sheep, canoeing, paintballing and adrenalin pursuits, eco-friendly hot tubs and hammock heaven. There is also usually a fancy dress finale, as well as locally sourced food and beer at £2.50 a drink provided, posh loos on site and more.

This year Beach Break Live will be back with the usual venues, including the sea view Main Stage, Club Tropicana, sea view Hot Tubs, a camped up camp fire and The Mighty Cornish Goblet (everything from sheep racing to hay bail hurling!). Plus, some new treats a rock quarry rave, a Moustache Bar, and Day Care Centre for adults.
