The Banbury Canalside Folk Festival takes place from Friday 9th until Sunday 11th October 2009 at various venues around the town of Banbury in Oxfordshire including the Mill Arts Centre, the Town Hall, the General Foods Social Club and the Canalside itself.

The line-up includes the following artists: Roy Bailey & Tony Benn MP, The Battlefield Band, The Doonans, Little Johnny England, Clive Gregson, Bob Fox & Billy Mitchell, Bernard Wrigley, Carmina, Meet on the Ledge, Mike Silver & Johnny Coppin, London Philharmonic Skiffle Orchestra, Keiran Halpin & Jimmy Smith, Hérétique, Keith Donnelly & Gilly Darby, Cuckoo Oak, Fastest to Canada, The Tindalls, Scarecrow, Mike Nicholson, Vicki & Trefor William, Alhambra, Deb Sandland with Ralph Sandland & Martin Green, Chris Tobin, John Morri, Selkie, Linda Watkins, Spiders Web, Parker/Watts, Fat Freddy's Cat, Rag 'n' Roll Band, Malc Gurnham & Gill Gilsenan, Bill McKinnon, Barry Gay, Andy Wall,The Scholars, Fairfield Folk, and more to be confirmed.

Other events include ceilidhs at the Town Hall, a craft and trade fair during the day on Saturday (admission free), local bands showcase concerts, acoustic concerts, folk clubs, folk theatre, Morris dancing (outside of The Mill and around town), workshops, story telling, song and music sessions and singing boat trips on the canal.

TICKETS
Season tickets covering all weekend events are available from The Mill Box Office @ £54, price from 1st September (subject to availability) £59.00. Friday evening only tickets - £24, Saturday all day tickets - £36 and Sunday daytime tickets - £24. Weekend Ceilidh tickets will be available on the door priced at £25 and will cover all dances. CAMPING
Hanwell Fields School will be used for indoor camping again this year. Camping for Campervans and Caravans will be at Drayton Leisure Golf Centre nearby. Because the capacity for caravans and campervans is limited, priority will be given to Season Ticket holders on those sites. Indoor camping and campers wanting to use tents are unaffected.
