The Alcester Winter Festival happens in addition to the annual Alcester Folk Festival and will take place from Friday 19th until Sunday 21st February 2016 at The Swan Hotel, Alcester, in Warwickshire. It is a winter version of the well known Singers' festival and will features workshops, folk clubs, singarounds and sessions.

Performers at the event include Paul Downes, Tom Perry and Clive Brooks, Jamie McCoan, Dave Boulton, Flakey Tarts, Sound Tradition, Hector Gilchrist, Jeff Gillett, Will Morgan, Sharpe as Razors, Speake and Lowe, John Hare, Des Patalong, Phil Millichip, Damien Clarke. Hils Ward, Graham Collins, Sean Humphries, Moses and the Ref , Pete Grassby, Karen Harris and Bill Wilkes, Chris Edwards. Kevin Sexton, Tony Portlock & Helen Borton, Chris King, Lucy Burrows Tom Patterson & Dave Morton, and Em Braces, plus workshops and more.

There will also be folk clubs, singarounds, story telling, and sessions. Plus input from festival goers to make it an all inclusive event.

The event starts at 8pm Friday, up until 5pm Sunday and food will be available all weekend, and there will be a selection of real ales on offer in the bar
