The Alcester Winter Festival happens in addition to the annual Alcester Folk Festival and will take place from Friday 21st until Sunday23rd February 2014 at The Swan Hotel, Alcester, in Warwickshire. It is a winter version of the well known Singers' festival and will features workshops, folk clubs, singarounds and sessions.

Performers at the event, so far include Colin Pitts, Notts Alliance, Tony Barrett, Pete Grasby, Tom Patterson & Dave moreton, Bill Karen & Miggy (formerly GU4), Sue White, Speake & Lowe, Anne Bradford, Sean Humphries, Alhambra, Copper Kettle, Pauline alexander Duo, Dave Whiteman, Moose Rosser, Hilary & Tony Jay, Graham Collins, Dave & Celia James, Tom Perry and Clive Brooks, Andy Wall, TNT, David Cheffings, Pat Smith & Ned Clamp, Gallimauphry and the Dog, Dave & Julie Taylor, Jamie McCoan, Scudnodus, Malc Gurnham & Gill Gilsenan, Sally Whytehead, John Shaw & Geoff Reeve-Black, plus Dulcimer workshops and more.

Other events

There will also be folk clubs, singarounds, story telling, and sessions. Plus input from festival goers to make it an all inclusive event.

The event starts at 8pm Friday, up until 5pm Sunday and food will be available all weekend, and there will be a selection of real ales on offer in the bar.

Tickets

The price per ticket is £30 including indoor camping or hard standing for a camper van or caravan. Camper/Caravans will be able to park behind that hotel (limited space so book early). For more information ring 07788 536605.
