This is possibly the largest free African Music Festival in the UK and it is now in it's fourteenth year. From 16th - 17th June, world class African artists will be performing in Sefton Park for a two day family-friendly celebration of cultural diversity.

Sefton park is transformed into an Oyé village, where you can try traditional food, enjoy a hair braiding, watch video shows and Congolese fashion, and most importantly, listen to some of the best up-and-coming African artists around.

The line-up details have now been published and are as follows:
Saturday, 16th June
Andy Palacio/The Garifuna Collective (Belize); Daby Balde (Senegal); Odemba OK Jazz All Stars (DR Congo).
Sunday, 17th June
LA 33 (Columbia); Culture (Jamaica); Papa Noel / Bana Congo (Cuba / DR Congo); plus a second show with Andy Palacio/The Garifuna Collective (Belize).

There are also artists confirmed to play in the week preceding the weekend festival programme with lunchtime guitar sessions at St Lukes Church, Radio Merseyside sessions and club beats at The Magnet.
