Hot from opening the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury the Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Choir will appear at the OnBlackheath Festival taking to the main stage on Saturday 10th September. The Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Choir were first seen on Gareth Malone's BBC2 show 'Sing While You Work' which eventually lead to the choir recording their first studio album.
In December 2015 the local songbirds beat the likes of Adele and Justin Bieber to the UK Christmas #1 with "(Something Inside) So Strong". The Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Choiris made up of staff from right across the NHS workforce, including doctors, nurses, physios, porters, administrators and many more. They perform regularly for hospital patients and the local community.
OnBlackheath Festival will be the first time the choir have performed to such a large audience on their home turf.
