The first acts have been revealed for next year's 17th edition of the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival which takes place at the Belladrum Estate, near Beauly in Inverness-shire, Scotland from Thursday 30th July to Saturday 1st August 2020.

Headlining will be composer, producer, arranger and guitarist Nile Rodgers and CHIC, and on the Thursday it's Scotland's Emeli Sande,

Event producer Dougie Brown said "We are delighted to announce NILE RODGERS & CHIC and EMELI SANDÉ as our first headliners for Belladrum 2020. NILE RODGERS & CHIC have been at the top of our wish list for many years and we are certain their set will go down as one of Bella's standout moments. EMELI SANDÉ played the festival's Grassroots tent in 2011 when she was starting out and to have seen the journey she has been on and to see come back and headline the festival's Thursday night will be another special moment at Bella."

Joining them over the weekend will be Shed Seven making a return, Passenger, Belfast punks Stiff Little Fingers, Scotland's Tide Lines, The Magic Numbers, regulars Colonel Mustard and the Dijon Five, Ibibio Sound Machine on the Garden Stage, Scottish supergroup Manran, The View's Kyle Falconer, Billie Marten, The Kinaris Quintet, Norwegian folk trio I See Rivers, Rythmnreel will close the Grassroots Stage on the Thursday, Highland singer-songwriter James Mackenzie, Bella favourites The Dangleberries, 9-piece ska collective from Glasgow Esperanza, The Roov, Calum Macphail Trio, Tweed, Shiehallion, Journey North, and for the younger family members Fun Box.
