Elsewhere, Village Mentality returns to the Village Green and the 2017 games will be themed around the idea of doubles. Revellers will be invited to grab a partner and step into the Alternate Reality that is the Village Green. Assimilate in the Tug of War or become a Human Double Decker, tie up for Twin Set 3 legged Racing, or back track in the Mirrored Relay Race. Expect symmetry, weirdness, high jinks, and twists on tradition (as ever) in a fete like no other. And there’s the Farnborough Concert Band of the British Legion and tea and cakes from The Dalston W.I.
